Kuwait Marks UN Day, Commits to International Peace Efforts

KUWAIT: Kuwait's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullah Al-Yahya, has reaffirmed the country's commitment to bolstering international peace and security as part of its active role in the United Nations. This statement was made in observance of UN Day, highlighting Kuwait's ongoing efforts to support the UN's agenda. According to Kuwait News Agency, Minister of Public Works Dr. Nora Al-Mashaan announced during the weekly Cabinet session that she plans to sign contracts for comprehensive maintenance of all major roads and inner streets across Kuwait. The signing is scheduled for Wednesday, signaling a move towards improving the country's infrastructure. In Dubai, a meeting between Sheikh Dr. Salman Khalifa Al-Sabah, President of Kuwait's Authority for Medical Responsibility, and Dr. Ebtessam Al Badwawi, Director General of Dubai Judicial Institute, focused on exchanging knowledge and expertise in the legal domain. Meanwhile, the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity (SACGC) has opened registrati on for an upcoming virtual orientation meeting. This event is organized in collaboration with the esteemed Johns Hopkins University, aiming to provide valuable insights for participants. Kuwait's Ministry of Health has announced that the Sheikha Salwa Al-Sabah Stem Cell and Umbilical Cord Centre received international accreditation for molecular testing from the US-based Association for the Advancement of Blood and Biotherapies (AABB), marking a significant achievement in the country's medical sector. In a related development, the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specializations has entered into an agreement with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. This collaboration aims to enhance the training and skills of medical professionals, further strengthening the region's healthcare capabilities.
