DOHA: Kuwait's Minister of Justice and Minister of Endowment and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Al-Wasmi, led the Kuwaiti delegation at the 34th meeting of justice ministers from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), hosted in Qatar. During the event, Dr. Al-Wasmi praised Qatar for its organization of the meeting and acknowledged the GCC Secretariat General for their consistent efforts. He also announced that Kuwait is set to host the next justice ministerial meeting in the coming year. According to Kuwait News Agency, Qatari Justice Minister Ibrahim Al-Muhandi stated that a strategic plan is being developed to enhance cooperation among GCC members, which is anticipated to yield positive outcomes. Al-Muhandi highlighted Qatar's advanced use of Artificial Intelligence in legal services, emphasizing the importance of leveraging such technology to improve justice systems and accelerate digitization. GCC Secretary General Ambassador Jassim Al-Budaiwi remarked on the anticipated outcomes of the meetings, which incl ude the approval of several agreements, such as one focused on the extradition of suspects and felons. He noted that these agreements are a continuation of ongoing collaborations among the member states.
