Kuwaiti Official Highlights Significance of GCC Public Administration Meeting in Doha

KUWAIT CITY: Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative Development Affairs at the Civil Service Bureau (CSC), Mohammad Al-Ahmad, emphasized the importance of the 22nd meeting of the General-Directors of Public Administration Institutes in the GCC countries, which took place in Doha, Qatar. According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Ahmad addressed the gathering, underscoring the significance of the 'Innovation in Developing Leadership in the Government Sector' forum. This event saw participation from notable figures including Abdulaziz Al-Khalifa, President of the Qatari Civil Service and Government Development Bureau. Discussions at the meeting covered a range of pivotal topics such as Gulf cooperation in public administration, the development of national talent, and the exchange of innovative practices among the region's public administration institutes. Al-Ahmad highlighted the establishment of joint programs aimed at bolstering practical training and innovation. The conference also set the stage for future c ollaborations, with an agreement that the 23rd meeting of the Committee of Directors General of Public Administration Institutes will convene in Kuwait. Maha Al-Marri, Director of the Training and Career Development Department at the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau Institute in Qatar, remarked in her opening speech that the event was a valuable opportunity to discuss recent developments and strategize for the future. Furthermore, Khaled Al-Sunaidi, the Assistant Secretary-General for Economic and Development Affairs at the GCC Secretariat, reiterated the importance of united efforts in administrative development and knowledge sharing among the GCC countries.
