Kuwait: The price of Kuwaiti oil has decreased by USD 1.67, settling at USD 72.28 per barrel on Monday, down from USD 73.95 per barrel on Friday, as announced by the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) on Tuesday. This decline reflects ongoing fluctuations in the global oil market. According to Kuwait News Agency, the global oil market also experienced decreases in major crude prices. Brent crude saw its price fall by USD 4.63 to USD 71.42 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate crude dropped by USD 4.4, landing at USD 67.38 per barrel. These reductions in oil prices followed reports of escalating tensions in the Middle East, specifically related to strikes targeting military assets in Iran.
