Kuwait’s Human Rights Reputation and Laborers’ Timely Payment are Priorities, Says Interior Minister.

Kuwait city: Kuwait's human rights reputation is a redline and it goes hand-in-hand with the timely payment of laborers, said First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah on Wednesday. This statement emphasizes the importance of maintaining the country's esteemed standing in human rights by ensuring fair and prompt payment practices for laborers. According to Kuwait News Agency, the statement was issued by the Interior Ministry's Public Relations and Security Media following Sheikh Fahad Al-Yusuf's meeting with representatives of labor force companies, attended by Director General of the Public Authority for Manpower Marzouq Al-Otaibi. The meeting focused on discussing the cabinet's decision to regulate companies' responsibility to pay workers on time, highlighting the critical nature of this issue. Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yusuf made it clear that the full force of the law would be used against companies that violate this cabinet decision. He stre ssed that no entity is above the law, sending a strong message to companies about the consequences of non-compliance. Companies are expected to adhere to the regulations and pay laborers without delay, ensuring that any failure to do so will lead to scrutiny, investigation, and potential legal action against violators. The minister further affirmed that all necessary amenities and resources would be provided to companies to ensure the fair treatment of laborers in accordance with the law. This commitment reflects a proactive approach to safeguarding laborers' rights and upholding Kuwait's human rights reputation.
