Beirut: Labor Minister, Dr. Mohammad Haidar, on Thursday honored Mohammad Hassan Jaafar, a hotel employee with special needs, for his perseverance, professionalism, and inspiring work ethic. During his visit, Minister Haidar praised Jaafar's successful integration into the workforce, emphasizing that employing people with disabilities is a legal right, not a favor.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Jaafar announced that the ministry will begin enforcing the law requiring institutions to allocate 3% of jobs to persons with disabilities, granting companies until year-end to comply, with inspections starting early next year.
