Beirut: Lebanon's land transport unions and syndicates are set to hold a meeting at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Directorate General of Land and Maritime Transport building in Starco, in the presence of the Director General of Land and Maritime Transport and a representative of the Minister of Agriculture.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting will focus on the recent decision by Syrian authorities regarding measures imposed on Lebanese trucks and the resulting negative repercussions on the land transport sector and the national economy across various sectors. Recommendations will be submitted to the Minister of Public Works and Transport for appropriate action.
Following the meeting, the unions and syndicates will hold a press conference at 2:00 p.m. at the Lebanese-Syrian border crossing in Masnaa to announce their position.
