Lebanese Army and Caritas Lebanon Host Free Medical Day in Nabatieh

Nabatieh: A Free Medical Day was organized by the Lebanese Army's Civil-Military Cooperation Directorate in collaboration with Caritas Lebanon. This initiative, held in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health and backed by the European Union, took place at Hassan Kamel Al Sabbah Public High School in Nabatieh. The event aimed to provide essential medical services to the local community, fostering cooperation between military and civil sectors.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the day's schedule included various significant events across the region. At 11:00 am, Justice Minister Adal Nassar welcomed the Ambassador of Sweden at his office, marking a diplomatic engagement aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.

Simultaneously, the UNICHEF's Challenge cooking competition was held at the Beirut Campus of the Lebanese American University (LAU). This event, organized by the Hospitality and Tourism Management Department, featured culinary students from Lebanese institutions showcasing their talents.

In another event focused on administrative reform, Minister of State for Administrative Reform Dr. Fadi Makki hosted a roundtable discussion at the Ministry of State for Administrative Reform's main hall. This gathering brought together public institutions, civil society, academia, and reform experts to bolster cooperation on administrative reform initiatives.

The Beirut Arab International Book Fair also featured prominently on the day's agenda, with various events including a book signing by journalist Ghada Eid for her work "Helena and the Teacher" at 4:00 pm, organized by Dar Al-Farabi. At the same time, the CEEDD Chair hosted a Green Dictation Contest at USJ's Faculty of Humanities in Beirut, celebrating the International Day of Living Together in Peace.

Later in the evening, the book signing of "Falastiniyat" by Dr. Lena Merhej, organized by Tash Fesh, took place at the book fair, followed by a panel discussion titled "So That the Nation Survives," organized by the Imam Musa Al-Sadr Center for Research and Studies. Both events were part of the 66th edition of the Beirut Arab International Book Fair held at the Seaside Arena, Beirut Waterfront.
