Lebanese Army Arrests Suspects in Funeral Gunfire, Seizes Weapons

Beirut: The Lebanese Army on Tuesday announced the arrest of several suspects involved in celebratory gunfire during funeral processions in Beirut's southern suburbs and Baalbek. This action follows earlier statements regarding the incidents.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, the Army stated that its units conducted raids on the homes of those involved, detaining two participants in Beirut's southern suburbs. Additionally, another individual, who was already wanted on multiple arrest warrants, was apprehended. In Baalbek, two suspects were arrested, one in Hay al-Sharawneh and another in Brital, for their involvement in gunfire during a funeral. The raids resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of weapons and ammunition.

The seized items have been handed over to the authorities, and investigations are currently underway under judicial supervision. The Army continues its efforts to arrest the remaining suspects involved in the incidents.
