Beirut: The Lebanese Army has successfully completed its deployment across the Al-Arqoub region in southern Lebanon, in a strategic move coordinated with UNIFIL forces. This deployment aims to bolster security and stability in the region, which has been the focus of recent tensions.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the operation involved the positioning of several armored vehicles and tanks throughout key locations, including the heights of Kfarchouba and extending to the Birket Baathail area. The deployment also included the towns of Kfar Hammam and Rashaya al-Fukhar, with additional troop placements on the eastern side of Shebaa. The presence of the Lebanese Army was met with enthusiastic support from residents in Kfarchouba, who expressed their approval through cheers and celebratory gunfire.
In a related incident, an Israeli drone launched an attack involving two air-to-ground missiles in the Bastara area, situated east of Majidiyeh. This development underscores the ongoing complexities and security challenges faced in the region.
