Lebanon: Lebanese Army Command's Orientation Directorate issued a statement this afternoon, indicating that some media outlets and news websites have circulated information regarding the harboring of wanted individuals and the presence of weapons inside a compound in the area of Hermel.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the statement clarified that military units conduct raids on compounds and camps periodically as part of security measures and to pursue security violators and individuals who enter Lebanese territory illegally.
The statement further indicated that its raid carried out on Tuesday in the Hermel area did not result in any arrests or seized items.
