Lebanese Human Rights Delegation Participates in 62nd UN Human Rights Council Session in Geneva

Beirut: A Lebanese human rights delegation is heading to Geneva to take part in the 62nd session of the UN Human Rights Council, focusing on the issue of Lebanese detainees, missing persons, and those allegedly held or forcibly disappeared in Israeli prisons.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the delegation aims to raise awareness internationally about alleged violations in Lebanon, advocate for accountability mechanisms, and push for the formation of an international investigative commission and a potential tribunal regarding war-related crimes.

Additionally, the delegation will participate in Lebanon's Universal Periodic Review (UPR), engage in meetings with international organizations including the Red Cross, and organize side events and protests. These activities will highlight the situation of both Lebanese and Palestinian detainees while calling for stronger international action on human rights violations and humanitarian conditions.
