Beirut: Interior and Municipal Affairs Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar emphasized that the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces is fully committed to maintaining national security and upholding the rule of law. Officers and personnel remain on high alert to address any security breaches, preserve internal stability, and prevent disorder by conducting regular patrols in Beirut, setting up fixed checkpoints on major streets and in neighborhoods, and maintaining safety and reassuring citizens, even in difficult circumstances.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, these measures are part of an ongoing security plan aimed at protecting citizens and public and private property in Beirut, enforcing regulations, intensifying patrols, and taking proactive measures in coordination with the Lebanese Army and all security agencies to ensure public safety and law enforcement. Speaking to Kuwait's Al-Anbaa, Minister Al-Hajjar highlighted the importance of such coordinated efforts in safeguarding the city and its residents amidst the challenging environment.
