BEIRUT: Lebanese MP and Free Patriotic Movement leader, Gebran Bassil, engaged in crucial discussions with the Qatari and Egyptian ambassadors on Tuesday, focusing on cessation of hostilities and regional support amidst ongoing conflicts. The meetings, aimed at bolstering Lebanon's stability and addressing the presidential election issue, underscored the significant role of Qatar and Egypt in Lebanon's current political and humanitarian landscape. According to National News Agency-Lebanon, Bassil's meeting with Qatari Ambassador Saud bin Abdul Rahman Al-Thani, attended by FPM Foreign Relations Official Tarek Sadek, centered on strategies to halt warfare and enhance humanitarian assistance.
