Lebanese Prime Minister Completes Washington Visit with Key Discussions

Washington:Prime Minister Nawaf Salam concluded his visit to the United States with a meeting at the Lebanese Embassy in Washington, attended by Ambassador Nada Hamadeh Mouawad and the diplomatic, military, and administrative staff.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, Salam expressed gratitude to the embassy team for their support during his visit and highlighted their role in serving the interests of Lebanon and Lebanese nationals in the United States, as well as in strengthening Lebanese-US relations.

During his time in Washington, Salam held discussions with key US Senators, including Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Jim Risch, ranking Democratic member Senator Jeanne Shaheen, and committee members Senators Chris Coons and Tim Kaine. The meetings were attended by Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Minister Youssef Raggi and Ambassador Mouawad.

The discussions centered on Lebanese-US relations, developments in Lebanon and the region, and the Lebanese government's efforts to restore full sovereignty and extend state authority throughout the country. The talks also covered Lebanon's reform agenda and economic recovery initiatives.
