Beirut: President of the Lebanese University, Dr. Bassam Badran, recently convened with Minister of Agriculture, Nizar Hani, at the university's central administration building. The meeting included senior officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, such as Director-General Louis Lahoud, along with university representatives, including deans from the faculties of agriculture and sciences.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussions were centered on bolstering collaboration, with a particular focus on research and scientific studies to advance the agricultural sector. Minister Hani, who also serves as a professor at the university's Faculty of Agriculture, shared the ministry's strategic vision and agricultural extension program during the meeting.
Dr. Badran emphasized the university's dedication to providing scientific expertise in support of ministries and highlighted the ongoing technological research in modern agriculture. He also expressed the institution's readiness to restart a reforestation campaign in regions affected by recent Israeli actions in Lebanon.
