Lebanon Rejects Israel-Somaliland Recognition Deal

Beirut: Lebanon's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants expressed its full support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia in a statement issued Sunday.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the ministry strongly rejected the mutual recognition agreement announced between Israel and the self-declared Republic of Somaliland, stressing the importance of respecting international law and the UN Charter.

It warned against attempts to impose parallel entities that threaten the unity and sovereignty of recognized states, reaffirming Lebanon's backing of Somalia's legitimate institutions and its stability.
