Salam: Lebanon will only reclaim Liberation Day after full Israeli withdrawal: Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has asserted that Lebanon will "truly reclaim" its Liberation and Resistance Day holiday only once Israel fully withdraws from Lebanese territory and displaced residents can safely return to their homes. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Salam emphasized this stance in a post on X to mark the occasion. He urged for the day to act as "a moment of solidarity with the families of martyrs, the wounded, prisoners, the displaced, and our steadfast people in the south and frontline villages." Salam stated, "The holiday will only be restored on the day of Israel's complete withdrawal from our land and the return of our people to it in safety and dignity."
