Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Tuesday received €š¬…¡¬°lie Mahfoud and a delegation from the political bureau of the Change Movement. Following the meeting, Mahfoud described Aoun as "a historic opportunity for Lebanon," calling for support for the presidency and government to continue restoring the state and rebuilding confidence at home and abroad.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, Mahfoud emphasized that the framework agreement represents a national achievement and a pivotal step toward restoring Lebanon as a sovereign state. He rejected campaigns targeting both the agreement and the president, underscoring the importance of transitioning from the logic of arms to the logic of the state and institutions.
Mahfoud's remarks come at a critical time for Lebanon, as the country faces numerous challenges. The support for President Aoun and the government is seen as essential for implementing reforms and achieving stability.
