Beirut: Head of the "10452" party and the "Afaq" Social Charitable Association, Rula al-Murad, held a meeting today with Caretaker Information Minister, Ziad al-Makary, at his ministerial office. The discussions focused on the recent developments in Lebanon, particularly following the ceasefire and the return of displaced individuals to their homes. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Murad provided an update to Makary on the situation in the Akkar region, highlighting the extensive efforts made to support displaced families. These efforts include volunteer campaigns that have mobilized across all villages and towns in the region. Murad emphasized the critical role women play in managing disasters and crises, urging for increased media coverage on this aspect. In response, Information Minister Makary affirmed his dedication to addressing the issues and demands of Akkar. He recognized it as a vital national region requiring comprehensive development efforts. Furthermore, he pledged to focus on the a rchive file of Professor Ibrahim al-Mohammed, which offers significant insights into the Lebanese press. Makary also committed to visiting Akkar in the near future to further engage with the community and their needs.
