Medical Relief Society Urges International Action Amid Gaza Hospital Attacks

Ramallah: The Palestinian Medical Relief Society has urgently called for international intervention to protect patients, medical staff, and those injured following the bombing and siege of hospitals in northern Gaza. The Indonesian, Al-Awda, and Kamal Adwan hospitals have been under attack for two weeks, leading to a critical situation on the ground. According to Maan News Agency, Dr. Mustafa Barghouti, head of the Palestinian Medical Relief Society, has emphasized the severe impact of the ongoing violence on healthcare facilities. The destruction and sieges have already resulted in the deaths of two patients at the Indonesian hospital, highlighting the urgent need for protective measures and the delivery of essential medical supplies to the affected areas. Barghouti described these acts as war crimes, emphasizing the disruption to health services and the imminent danger posed to patients and medical personnel. He stressed the urgency for the international community to act swiftly and responsibly to prevent further loss of life and ensure that healthcare facilities are safeguarded from further violence.
