Meeting with Retired Military Personnel Shifts to Finance Ministry Ahead of Key Cabinet Session

Beirut: A meeting involving several ministers and representatives of retired military personnel, initially held at the government headquarters in the Mathaf area, has been relocated to the Finance Ministry. The discussions aim to find a resolution prior to the critical Cabinet session scheduled for 3 p.m.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the protests in Riad al-Solh Square are not confined to retired military personnel. Public administration employees and professors from the Lebanese University have also joined the demonstrations. The outcome of the ongoing meeting at the Finance Ministry will be pivotal in determining whether the protestors decide to intensify their street protests in the lead-up to the Cabinet session.
