Mikati Advocates Immediate Negotiations for Peace Based on Truce Agreement

Beirut: Former Prime Minister Najib Mikati has emphasized the urgency of capitalizing on a historic opportunity through immediate negotiations grounded in the 'Armistice Agreement.' He warned against distractions that could hinder progress and urged a focus on solutions within the historical and geographical context.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Mikati articulated these views during his address at the opening ceremony of the dialysis section at Al-Minnieh Governmental Hospital, an event co-hosted with Public Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine. "In these difficult times our beloved country is experiencing, we all have no choice but to resort to wisdom and reason in any political approach to emerge from this intractable crisis," Mikati stated, emphasizing the necessity of collective humility and realism in addressing Lebanon's challenges.
