PM-designate Najib Mikati congratulated the Lebanese army on the 76th anniversary of the Lebanese Army Day.
“A salute of loyalty and hope to the army. Loyalty to all the sacrifices they made to defend Lebanon, preserve its soil and protect its people,” he said.
Mikati expressed his hope that “the dark clouds will disappear from Lebanon, so that the Lebanese feel safe in the protection and care of their army, and that the army, despite the difficult circumstances it is going through, will remain steadfast and lofty like the cedars of Lebanon.”
