Beirut: Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati is currently engaging in discussions at the Grand Serail with the UN Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix. The meeting is also attended by the UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, and the Commander of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), Major General Aroldo Lazaro. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Prime Minister had earlier held a separate meeting with the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert. These discussions are part of ongoing efforts to address and strengthen peacekeeping operations in the region. The meetings underscore the importance of collaborative efforts between Lebanon and the United Nations in maintaining stability and peace within the country.
