MIKATI RECEIVES PHONE CALL FROM ERDOGAN

Prime Minister-designate, Najib Mikati, received Tuesday a phone call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who congratulated him on his fresh appointment to form the new government.

The pair also dwelt on the wildfires that had devastated swaths of land in several regions, especially in Akkar and Hermel. Within this context, Erdogan stressed that Turkey’s firefighting capacities are at Lebanon’s disposal when need be.

In turn, Mikati thanked the Turkish President and underlined the work on bolstering the Lebanese-Turkish bilateral relations in all fields.

Separately, the PM-designate received a delegation of the General Labor Confederation, chaired by Beshara al-Asmar.
