Beirut: Minister of Information, Attorney Dr. Paul Morcos, and President of the Lebanese University, Professor Bassam Badran, have signed a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Information and CNAM (Conservatoire National des Arts et M©tiers). The signing ceremony took place at the Lebanese University campus, attended by CNAM Director Dr. Sandrella Abu Fayyad, board members, Programs Director at Radio Lebanon Rita Noujaim Al-Roumi, Advisor to the Minister of Information Lawyer Mohammed Ezzeddine, and numerous professors and students.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the agreement is part of a strategic vision to develop Radio Lebanon by leveraging scientific expertise and national skills to advance digital transformation. Minister Morcos highlighted that the collaboration would enable students from technical specializations to assist the maintenance department, conduct an engineering survey, and prepare a modernization plan based on international standards under the Ministry’s supervision.
This partnership aims to translate academic knowledge into practical applications for the official media institution. The ministry will provide a professional environment, technical guidance, and specialized supervision, alongside issuing official certificates of experience to participants. The framework ensures confidentiality and imposes no financial burden on the state.
Minister Morcos emphasized the genuine collaboration between the university and the state, uniting a generation gaining experience with one imparting it, to enhance Radio Lebanon’s capacity to fulfill its national role efficiently. He expressed gratitude to those who contributed to the agreement, noting that investing in knowledge is essential for modernizing the state and building a partnership for the future.
