Minister Morcos and SACEM Delegation Discuss Copyright Protection in Lebanon

Beirut:Information Minister Dr. Paul Morcos held a meeting at his office with SACEM Director General and CEO Cécile Rap-Veber, alongside other SACEM officials, to discuss strengthening copyright and intellectual property protection in Lebanon.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, the SACEM delegation included Director of Institutional Relations Blaise Mistler, Director of International Relations Caroline Champarnaud, Director of International Development Akotchayé Okio, and Head of Eastern Repertoire Driss Touw. Lebanese composer Oussama Rahbani and attorney Janette Azar were also present.

The discussions focused on the company's measures to enhance the protection of authors' rights in Lebanon. This includes efforts to bolster cooperation with Lebanese ministries, authors, composers, and music publishers. During the meeting, Minister Morcos received a commemorative plaque with a musical note from Cécile Rap-Veber and her delegation.
