Minister Morcos Enhances Media Ties with South Korea and Signs Student Training Agreement with AUL University

Beirut: Minister of Information, Attorney Paul Morcos, on Monday received South Korean Ambassador to Lebanon, Gyusuk Geon, accompanied by the Deputy Head of Mission.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, Ambassador Geon stated that the meeting focused on exploring ways to enhance cooperation between South Korea and Lebanon in the public media sectors, aiming to further develop relations and partnerships in the future.

In addition to his discussions with Ambassador Geon, Minister Morcos also met with former MP Emile Rahme to discuss the latest general developments in the region.

Separately, Minister Morcos signed a significant agreement with AUL University, represented by its President, Professor Fawaz El-Omar; Vice President Dr. Adnan Shaaban; and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Dr. Amneh Al-Mir. This agreement aims to provide university students with hands-on training opportunities at the Ministry of Information and its affiliated media institutions, such as Radio Lebanon and the National News Agency.

Minister Morcos emphasized the importance of such collaborations, stating that agreements with various universities open the Ministry's doors to the new generation, allowing students to gain practical experience and build expertise both during and after their studies. He noted that numerous students are currently completing internships at T©l© Liban, particularly benefiting from the university's media department as the Ministry works towards revitalizing Radio Lebanon and T©l© Liban.
