Minister of Culture Dr. Ghassan Salameh Conducts Comprehensive Tour of Tripoli

Tripoli: Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghassan Salameh, embarked on an extensive inspection tour of Tripoli, commencing with a visit to the Tripoli Citadel. The tour included a detailed exploration of the on-site museum and the Museum of North Lebanon and Akkar, culminating in a presentation on the restoration project of the Tripoli Citadel.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Dr. Salameh's itinerary continued with a city tour at 11:00 AM, featuring stops at Khan Al-Askar, Hammam Izzeddine, and other historic buildings surrounding the citadel. The tour also extended to the riverbank area and Hammam Al-Nouri. At 1:30 PM, Dr. Salameh visited the Order of Engineers, where he attended a presentation on the 'Historic City Assessment' project and participated in a certificate distribution ceremony for project participants, followed by a lunch hosted by the Order.

The day culminated with a meeting at 5:00 PM with Akram Aouad©, Director General of the Rashid Karami International Fair, and a visit to the fairgrounds. Additionally, a significant press conference on 'The Syrian Displacement Crisis in Lebanon' was held at 10:30 AM by Bishop Antoine Nabil Andari, in collaboration with the National Thinking Forum, coinciding with the release of Dr. Ali Faour's book on the subject.

Meanwhile, the Council of Muftis in Lebanon convened at 11:00 AM under the leadership of Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian at Dar Al-Fatwa to deliberate on Islamic and national affairs. Concurrently, the Education, Higher Education and Culture Committee held a parliamentary session to discuss various educational issues, including a draft law amendment and matters concerning Syrian students.

Minister of Industry Joe Issa El-Khoury conducted a press conference at 11:30 AM to discuss administrative realities and ongoing reform workshops at the Ministry of Industry.
