Amman: Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Smeirat and the Assistant Director-General for Communication and Information at UNESCO, Tawfiq Jlassi, engaged in discussions on Wednesday regarding cooperation in the digital economy and AI. According to Jordan News Agency, the discussions took place on the sidelines of the Global Media and Information Literacy Week conference in Amman. Smeirat and Jlassi focused on cooperation in digital economy governance and training concerning empowerment and ethics in AI usage. Jlassi highlighted the meeting's emphasis on the effective role of modern technologies in communication and information, while pointing out UNESCO's involvement and initiatives in AI and AI ethics.
