Ministers Launch Agricultural Extension Program to Promote Sustainable Farming

Beirut: Ministers of Information and Agriculture, Dr. Paul Morcos and Dr. Nizar Hani, have launched the Official Agricultural Extension Program at the Ministry of Agriculture in Bir Hassan. The program aims to promote sustainable farming practices and raise awareness of their importance.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, chaired by MP Fadi Alameh, met with UNHCR Representative Ivo Freijsen to discuss the issue of Syrian refugees in Lebanon. The meeting took place in the committee hall on the third floor of the Offices Building.

The subcommittee of the Parliamentary Committee on National Education, Higher Education, and Culture, led by MP Halima Kaakour, held a session to review the proposed amendment to Law No. 515 of June 6, 1996. This law regulates school budgets and tuition fees in private, non-free schools. The session occurred in the Education Committee Hall on the first floor of the Offices Building.

The Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights, chaired by MP Michel Moussa, met with the General Delegate of ACAT France to discuss human rights issues in Lebanon and related legislation. This meeting was held in Committee Hall No. 210 on the second floor of the Offices Building.

Simultaneously, the Council of Ministers convened at the Grand Serail to finalize the framework for administrative appointments and discuss digital transformation in the public sector.

Later, Jounieh Municipality, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, hosted the "Francophonie Week 2025" for the fourth consecutive year at the municipality building.

Finally, as part of the 150th anniversary of St. Maron Church's construction in Gemmayzeh, the Thursday Musical Committee at St. Maron held its March concert titled "We Shall Remain" at the church in Gemmayzeh, Beirut.
