Ministry of Interior Commends Saudi Collaboration in Preventing Drug Smuggling into Lebanon

Beirut: The Lebanese Ministry of Interior and Municipalities issued a statement praising the effective security collaboration with the Ministry of Interior in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This cooperation successfully prevented an attempt to smuggle a significant quantity of drugs into Lebanon, aligning with the Ministry's strategy to combat drug trafficking.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Ministry emphasized that this operation underscores Lebanon's steadfast commitment to countering all smuggling attempts. The statement highlighted Lebanon's firm stance against the use of its territory as a transit point for activities that could jeopardize its interests and relations with neighboring countries.

The Ministry's statement expressed deep appreciation for the professional efforts of the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces and its personnel. It commended their dedication, competence, and perseverance in executing sensitive operations, despite facing numerous challenges.
