MoPH Reports Direct Attack on Red Cross in Beit Yahoun, 18 Injured in Bazouriyeh Raids

Beirut: A statement issued by the Health Emergency Operations Center of the Ministry of Public Health announced that the Israeli enemy directly targeted Sunday evening, in a further violation of international humanitarian law and norms, a Lebanese Red Cross ambulance team in the town of Beit Yahoun, Bint Jbeil district, resulting in the martyrdom of one paramedic and the injury of another.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the statement added: "The ministry offers its condolences to the Red Cross and all ambulance services operating in conflict zones in Lebanon, which are making great sacrifices in fulfillment of their humanitarian mission, and affirms that it will file international complaints to ensure that these violations are held accountable."

The Health Ministry also reported that "Israeli enemy raids on the town of Bazouriyeh in the Tyre district Sunday morning resulted in injuries to 18 citizens, including 3 in critical condition."
