Morcos: Cabinet Coordination Ongoing on Relief Efforts as Salam Pursues Diplomatic Contacts

Beirut: Information Minister, Paul Morcos, stated that Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, emphasized ongoing diplomatic efforts with President Joseph Aoun aimed at curbing the military escalation. Morcos spoke after the daily ministerial meeting held at the Grand Serail, chaired by Salam, with ministers in attendance.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the prime minister also discussed the coordination among ministries, administrations, and relevant agencies in relief and supply efforts, underscoring the importance of supporting the residents of southern villages. The meeting highlighted the collective efforts to manage the situation effectively and provide necessary aid to those affected.

Morcos further mentioned that each minister presented updates on their respective domains. The health minister reassured the cabinet that the overall health situation remains stable despite the challenges. The social affairs minister detailed measures being taken to assist displaced families, ensuring they receive adequate support during these times. Additionally, the energy minister, in coordination with the economy minister, reviewed the status of strategic fuel reserves to ensure there are no disruptions in supply.

The ongoing efforts reflect the government's commitment to maintaining stability and providing necessary aid in light of the current challenges, as diplomatic efforts continue to address the broader issues at hand.
