Beirut: Information Minister, Attorney Dr. Paul Morcos, has called for an emergency press conference at 5:00 p.m. today at his office in the Ministry of Information, following the recent Israeli attack that targeted journalists in the town of Jezzine. This press conference has been convened urgently in response to the loss of three journalists who were killed during the airstrike while fulfilling their professional responsibilities.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the journalists, identified as Ali Shuaib, Fatima Ftouni, and Mohammad Ftouni, were martyred during the attack. The fatalities have sparked a call for immediate discussion and response from the Ministry of Information, as the event highlights the dangers faced by journalists in conflict zones. Dr. Morcos is expected to address the implications of the attack and the steps that will be taken to ensure the safety of media personnel operating in high-risk areas.
