Morcos: Finance Minister to Visit Washington as Aid Declines, Health Sector Toll Mounts

Beirut: Information Minister, Paul Morcos, on Thursday said that the finance minister will travel to Washington to seek assistance, noting a decline in international aid to Lebanon compared to 2024, alongside falling state revenues.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Morcos stressed the state's commitment to paying salaries, dismissing reports to the contrary as inaccurate. Morcos added that the health minister reported 95 direct attacks on medical personnel, with 53 fatalities in the sector, while the justice minister highlighted the urgent needs of frontline villages and the need to protect civilians.
