Beirut: Minister of Information, Attorney Paul Morcos, on Tuesday offered his condolences to Norway's Ambassador to Lebanon, Hilde Haraldstad, at the Norwegian Embassy in Beirut, following the death of King Harald V of Norway. Minister Morcos expressed his deepest sorrow and condolences to the Kingdom of Norway, its leadership and people, as well as to the royal family.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in a message he wrote on the book of condolences, Minister Morcos stated: "This is a sad moment for the leadership of Norway and the great Norwegian people. It is also a sad moment for the Lebanese leadership and the Lebanese people. We hereby present our deepest condolences for this profound loss, and we convey our most respectful and warm regards to the Norwegian Royal Family and wish them continued prosperity for the great and common values of democracy and freedom we share."
Morcos further extended his condolences to Ambassador Hilde Haraldstad, acknowledging her significant role in enhancing and promoting bilateral relations between Lebanon and Norway. He concluded his message with best regards and respect to the Norwegian envoy.
