MP Bazzi Says Financial Regularization Bill Still Unfit for Approval, Reassures on Flu Season

Beirut: MP Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Bazzari on Friday said in an interview with "The Voice of All Lebanon" radio that the draft law on financial regularization has not yet reached Parliament and remains "riddled with gaps," noting that its submission would trigger extensive debate. He stressed that no MP could approve the bill in its current form, given the many unresolved questions it still raises.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, on the health front and the spread of seasonal influenza, Al-Bazzari explained that the H3N2 strain is not new, having existed for decades and being included in seasonal vaccination programs. He said Lebanon is experiencing a global flu wave, with holiday gatherings contributing to its spread, adding that accurate infection figures will become clearer in the coming days based on updated epidemiological surveillance data.

The lawmaker reassured that the epidemiological situation remains under control, with no new mutations to be concerned about, while emphasizing the importance of preventive measures, particularly for patients, the elderly, and children.
