Beirut: MP Bilal Abdallah on Tuesday said Lebanon was doing everything necessary to protect its people and territory, while relying on the US side sponsoring Lebanese-Israeli talks to exert maximum pressure on Israel to stop daily attacks and ongoing violence. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Abdallah stated in an interview with Sawt Kul Lebanon radio that issues including Israeli withdrawal, prisoner exchanges, and reconstruction would be addressed later if efforts to consolidate the ceasefire succeed. He emphasized that war is a "destructive option" for Lebanon and highlighted the state's efforts to mitigate the impact of the ongoing conflict. Abdallah also touched upon the proposed general amnesty law, noting that discussions remained positive despite the need for additional consultations aimed at reaching a balanced consensus formula.
