MP Ibrahim Kanaan: ‘No Real Reform Without Resolving Fate of Lebanese Deposits’

Beirut: At the opening of discussions on the draft banking reform law, Chairman of the Parliamentary Finance and Budget Committee, MP Ibrahim Kanaan, emphasized that genuine reform in Lebanon cannot proceed without addressing the fate of depositors' funds. Kanaan described the moment as a 'historic decision point.'

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Kanaan highlighted the urgency of resolving issues surrounding the deposits and lifetime savings of the Lebanese people. He stressed that without a solution for these deposits, real or effective reform in Lebanon remains unattainable.
