MPDA launches Ramadan Festival on Heritage Trail

AJMAN: The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) has announced the launch of the Ramadan Festival on Heritage Trail, dubbed ‘Ramadan in Al Furjan’, as part of its keenness to provide various activities for residents and visitors.

In this regard, Dr. Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Infrastructure Development Sector at MPDA, asserted that the MPDA decided to hold the Festival in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, which is characterised by its beautiful atmosphere, noting that the Festival is mainly aimed at bringing joy and happiness to its visitors, by providing a myriad of events, entertainment and miscellaneous shows targeting all segments and categories.

The Festival’s organising committee has chosen the Heritage Trail for holding the Festival to give visitors the opportunity to tour the old Al Furjan and learn about the customs and traditions followed during the holy month, Dr. Al Muhairi said.

Dr. Al Muhairi noted that the Festival is open to visito
rs from 19:00 to 00:00 from Monday to Thursday, and from 21:00 to 00:00 from Friday to Sunday, providing full entertainment services; stalls, restaurants and cafes.

The Festival is on until the third day of Eid Al Fitr.
