Beirut: Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, engaged in significant discussions with Pakistani Ambassador to Lebanon, Salman Athar, at Dar al-Fatwa. The meeting focused on Lebanese affairs, regional situations, and the enhancement of bilateral relations between Lebanon and Pakistan.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Mufti Derian also held talks with Consul Bassel Oueidat, where they discussed general developments. The Grand Mufti's engagements continued as he later welcomed a delegation from the new administrative board of the "Association of Muslim Scholars," led by Sheikh Ahmed Al-Omari, at Dar al-Fatwa. The discussions with the delegation revolved around national issues, including the dossier of Islamist detainees.
