Caretaker Minister of Justice, Marie-Claude Najm, received this Tuesday the Special Coordinator of the United Nations in Lebanon, Joanna Wronecka, on an acquaintance visit upon the assumption of her coordinator duties in Lebanon.
Talks dealt with the general developments and ways to activate the existing cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and the United Nations and to support the Ministry’s projects, especially those related to the judiciary and human rights.
Wronecka thanked the Minister for the “fruitful meeting, which focused on the essential role of an independent judiciary that contributes to the consolidation of the rule of law within the framework of stable and accountable state institutions.”
