Abu Dhabi: The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather forecast highlighting varied climatic conditions across the United Arab Emirates from 15th to 18th October 2024. The forecast is driven by a low-pressure system moving from the Arabian Sea towards Oman, influencing the weather across the region. According to Emirates News Agency, the NCM has detailed that this meteorological event will lead to an increase in cloud cover throughout the UAE, with convective clouds expected to cause rainfall of varying intensity. The weather disturbance will first affect the eastern and northern parts of the UAE before spreading to some internal and western regions. Along with the rain, there might be occurrences of lightning, thunder, and occasional hail in specific areas. Residents in the UAE should also prepare for light to moderate winds blowing from the southeast to the northeast. These winds might strengthen occasionally, especially during cloud formation, potentially causing dust and sand to blow a round and reduce visibility in certain areas. The NCM has further advised that the conditions at sea in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea could vary from slight to moderate, with a possibility of becoming rough during certain periods.
