Manama: As part of government efforts to enhance the quality of services and re-engineer them, the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) has enhanced the service for issuing reports of specialised medical committees to judicial authorities. This initiative aims to facilitate procedures, update mechanisms, and accelerate the completion of requests, contributing to an improved experience for beneficiaries.
According to Bahrain News Agency, under the developed service, the completion period has been significantly reduced from 115 days to 25 days, alongside a reduction in the number of approvals required to obtain the service. This improvement aids in facilitating the investigation process in cases referred by judicial authorities, starting from the issuance and approval of the final decision by the disciplinary committees for health professions, followed by the submission of the final report to the competent judicial authority to decide on the relevant procedures in medical error cases.
Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Ansari, CEO of NHRA, emphasized that the service reflects the Authority's commitment to adopting innovative solutions to deliver its services in line with the highest standards of quality and efficiency, ultimately enhancing customer experience. He further stated that the launch of the service demonstrates the Authority's dedication to improving its services, reducing time and effort for relevant institutions, and enhancing the efficiency of work and regulatory procedures.
As part of ongoing government efforts to develop and re-engineer services, more than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published, with around 800 having undergone development and re-engineering across various sectors. This endeavor was based on proposals and feedback received on government services through the National System for Proposals and Complaints (Tawasul), investors' feedback, and mystery shopper reports for evaluating government services, in addition to the launch of guideline manuals and service level agreements.
These efforts collectively contribute to raising procedural efficiency, improving the quality of services provided, enhancing beneficiaries' experience, and supporting the path of government digital transformation.
