The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Saturday denounced as abhorrent the terrorist attack on a school in western Uganda where dozens of people were killed on injured.
Reaffirming its firm stance against all forms of violence and terrorism, the OIC Secretariat stated full support to the efforts of the Ugandan authorities to combat terrorism.
Nearly 40 people, mainly students, were killed and scores of others injured when militants, reportedly linked to the so-called Islamic State, attacked Lhubiriha secondary school in Mpondwe city, Kasese District, the Western Region, Uganda, on Friday night.
