BEIRUT: In a recent shift in the Lebanese energy market, the price of gasoline has increased, while diesel prices have seen a slight decrease. The cost of 95 and 98 octane gasoline rose by LBP 11,000 on Friday, reflecting ongoing volatility in the region's fuel market. Meanwhile, diesel prices dropped by LBP 1,000, and the price of gas cylinders remained stable. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the updated pricing for fuels stands as follows: 95-octane gasoline is now priced at LBP 1,471,000, while 98-octane gasoline has reached LBP 1,511,000. Diesel users will find a reduced cost of LBP 1,341,000. However, those relying on gas cylinders will see no change, with prices holding steady at LBP 986,000. The adjustments in fuel prices come amidst a backdrop of economic challenges in Lebanon, which has seen significant fluctuations in energy costs over recent months. The government continues to monitor and adjust prices in response to global oil market trends and domestic economic pressures.
