Pakistan’s Interior Minister Delivers Key Message to Iran’s Supreme Leader

Tehran: Iranian media quoted Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsen Naqvi as saying, "The message I am carrying to Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is important, and I hope things will go well," according to Cairo News Channel.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Pakistani Interior Minister arrived in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on Saturday evening for an official visit. During this visit, he will hold a series of meetings with Iranian officials, including Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

The Iranian news agency "Tasnim" reported that Naqvi will discuss a number of bilateral and regional issues with Iranian officials. The discussions will focus primarily on political and security developments in the region, in addition to the latest developments in the negotiations between Iran and the United States.

The visit follows a meeting between the Pakistani minister and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif prior to Naqvi's departure for Tehran. During this meeting, he was given instructions to follow up on the Iranian-American negotiations and to consult with the Iranian side on regional developments.
