Beirut: Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rahi, engaged in significant discussions with several prominent figures on Tuesday. The first meeting was with Tourism Minister, Laura Al-Khazen Lahoud, who sought the Patriarch's blessing following her recent appointment. Their conversation also touched upon current affairs affecting the nation.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Cardinal Rahi subsequently met with Swedish Ambassador to Lebanon, Jessica Svardstrom. Their dialogue focused on the situation in Lebanon and the state of bilateral relations between Lebanon and Sweden.
In addition, Patriarch Rahi received a delegation representing Druze Sheikh Akl Sami Abi Al-Mona. The delegation conveyed Sheikh Al-Mona's greetings and extended an invitation to the Patriarch for a Ramadan iftar scheduled for March 21. Discussions during this meeting revolved around spiritual and national issues, with specific attention to matters concerning Mount Lebanon.
Dr. Naufal Daou was also among the visitors to meet with Patriarch Rahi, marking a day of significant engagements for the religious leader.
